Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BuildBridge platform operated by BuildBridge LLC ("BuildBridge," "we," "us," or "our"), accessible at getbuildbridge.com. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. Description of Service

BuildBridge is an online marketplace that connects homeowners ("Homeowners") who post home improvement projects with licensed contractors ("Contractors") who subscribe to receive project leads in their trade and geographic area. BuildBridge does not itself perform any contracting work and is not a party to any agreement between a Homeowner and a Contractor.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use BuildBridge. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Contractors represent that they hold all required licenses, permits, and insurance required by the state(s) in which they operate.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at[email protected]if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Homeowner Terms

Homeowners may post projects on BuildBridge free of charge. By posting a project, you represent that the project description is accurate and that you have the authority to authorize the work described. You agree not to post projects that are illegal, fraudulent, or intended to deceive contractors.

BuildBridge does not screen, verify, or endorse any Contractor. You are solely responsible for evaluating Contractors, verifying their credentials, and entering into any agreement with them. We strongly recommend verifying a Contractor's license with the relevant state licensing board before hiring.

5. Contractor Terms

Contractors must subscribe to a trade-specific plan to access project leads. Subscriptions are billed at $350 per trade per month and include up to 15 qualified leads per trade per billing period. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

By subscribing, Contractors represent and warrant that: (a) they hold a valid contractor's license in the state(s) where they perform work; (b) they carry adequate general liability insurance; (c) all information provided on their profile, including license number and license state, is accurate and current; and (d) they will perform all work in a professional and workmanlike manner in compliance with all applicable laws.

Contractors who misrepresent their credentials, license status, or qualifications may be permanently banned from the platform and may be reported to the relevant state licensing authority.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

All subscription payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize BuildBridge to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Continued use of the platform after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. Ratings and Reviews

BuildBridge allows Homeowners and Contractors to rate and review each other after a project. You agree that all ratings and reviews you submit are honest, accurate, and based on your genuine experience. You may not submit false, defamatory, or retaliatory reviews. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent project listings or contractor profiles
• Circumvent the platform by soliciting or accepting payments outside of BuildBridge to avoid subscription fees
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform without our written consent
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

BuildBridge is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content posted by users, including contractor profiles and project listings.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildBridge LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of BuildBridge, including but not limited to damages arising from contractor work performed, project disputes, or data loss. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BuildBridge LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oregon, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of BuildBridge after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Founder Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Ruben Bautista, the founder and operator of BuildBridge LLC, is also the owner of RBP Construction, a licensed general contracting company operating in Oregon (CCB #219408) and Washington (#RBPCOCL799BK).

BuildBridge LLC operates as a neutral marketplace connecting homeowners with independent contractors. Ruben Bautista does not participate as a contractor on the BuildBridge platform, does not receive contractor leads through the platform, and does not use platform data to benefit RBP Construction in any way.

This disclosure is provided in the interest of full transparency with all platform users — both homeowners and contractors.
